How the AI Visibility Audit Works

A plain explanation of what we check, how we score it, and — just as importantly — what the audit doesn’t claim to measure.

Platforms tested

We check visibility across 4 AI platforms: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Gemini.

Treatment categories (15)

Botox, dermal fillers, lip filler, laser hair removal, laser skin resurfacing, microneedling, chemical peel, HydraFacial, IV therapy, medical weight loss, CoolSculpting, PRP / microneedling with PRP, hormone therapy, skin tightening, acne treatment.

Location handling

You provide the city or market you primarily serve at checkout, and we evaluate visibility for that market. The audit currently supports a single primary market per report — contact us first if you need a multi-location report.

The Five-Signal Visibility Framework

Every audit is scored against our own framework, built from local-search fundamentals, treatment-content clarity, business-entity consistency, provider credibility, and reviews/third-party references — plus patterns we’ve observed in how AI assistants respond to local, treatment-specific questions. It is not a published formula from OpenAI, Google, Gemini, or Perplexity — no such formula is public.

Scoring system

Your overall score and each platform score are expressed on a 0–100 scale. Each of the five signals is labeled strong (score 70 or above), partial (45–69), or missing (below 45). Treatment-level results show how many of the platforms checked named your med spa for that treatment.

Repeat-testing and response variability

AI assistants can return different answers to the same question at different times. Our exact query-repetition and variability-handling methodology is still being finalized and documented publicly — if this level of technical detail matters for your evaluation, contact us before ordering and we’ll walk you through our current process directly.
